John Garo arrives in Boston

Formerly a portrait painter, he subsequently opens a photography studio on a part of Boylston Street that comes to be called “Photographer’s Row.” Yousuf Karsh subsequently apprentices in the studio and goes on to become an even more accomplished photographer than his teacher.
